As an athlete, your body needs calories. A lot of these calories come from carbohydrates, the main source of fuel for the body during longer efforts.

The body needs extra carbs to prevent depletion of its glycogen stores. Several studies have shown that the maximum digestion of carbohydrates is equal to 1 gram per minute. As a result, the body can digest about 60 grams of carbohydrates per hour.

However, this amount can be increased to 1,5 grams per hour by combining different forms of carbohydrates, like glucose and fructose. Indeed, the body absorbs different sugars in different ways.

Using multiple sources of carbohydrates will prevent saturation of certain transporters in the blood, but will also result in faster absorption of sugars into the system.

Vitamine B1, B2, B3 and B9 are added for their important role in the digestion of carbohydrates, the production of red blood cells, their contribution to daily metabolism and the reduction of fatigue.

Carbo Charger is used before and during a training or race to reach the amount of carbohydrates required for the exercise.

Carbo Charger is used in addition to your Isotonic Drink. In cold weather, when you are sweating less, Carbo Charger can even replace your Isotonic drink.

The amount of carbohydrates required will depend on the duration of the workout:

Less than 45 minutes:     probably not required

45 to 70 minutes:            30 grams of carbs per hour

1 to 2,5 hours:                 30 to 60 grams of carbs per hour

More than 2,5 hours:       80 to 90 grams of carbs per hour

48,7% fructose, 46,3% maltodextrin, acidity: citric acid and mono potassium phospate, natural aroma, anti-caking: silicium dioxide, vitamin B3 (nicotinamid), vitamin B2 (riboflavin), vitamine B1 (thiamin HCl), vitamine B9 (folium acid).
